Our Lady Of Fatima Statue is here for 2025 !
Are you ready to witness a miracle?
After 5 previous visitations by Our Blessed Mother, on October 13th, 1917, approximately 70,000 people gathered and witnessed a miracle in Fatima, Portugal. Today, over the next 6 months, thousands of individuals will join together across the country, to publicly pray the rosary to our Lady of Fatima. We cannot promise you that the sun will dance as it did over 108 years ago, but we can promise you a warm welcome, and by faithfully and seriously praying the rosary, miracles WILL happen in your own lives. Learn about the message Our Lady gave to all of us. Join us each month as we pray the rosary publicly in front of Saint Annes Church in Gorham Maine and across the State.
MaineNeedsFatima.org is proud to announce that "Our Lady Of Fatima" statue will remain in Maine for the 2025 season. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful statue to share here in the state. TFP (The American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property) Director John Horvat II said "Our Lady chooses where she wants to be. Right now, her stature wants to be with the people in Maine"
Having such a wonderful statue of Our Lady can't be hidden in only one home, she really needs to be shared, and she is available for home visits, events, and rallies throughout Maine while we have her.

You can also reach out to America Needs Fatima and request one of their home visitations. Since 1997, America Needs Fatima volunteers, referred to as “Fatima Custodians,” travel our country bringing a number of Fatima statues into homes, showing an audio-visual presentation on the apparitions and message of Our Lady of Fatima and teaching people how to pray the Rosary. At the end of each presentation, a Rosary is prayed with all present and then participants enjoy a period of time of conversation and sometimes refreshments offered by the host. Every year these fervent Custodians visit an average of 2,500 homes.

We wish you all a Happy and Blessed Easter Season. Christ is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!. Pope Francis has gone to his final reward; may he rest in peace. We have a new Pope – Pope Leo XIV. I am sure most of you share our surprise (and joy) that an American, Cardinal Robert Prevost was elected just recently to be the 267th Pope. May he be a faithful and fruitful servant of Our Lord Jesus Christ as he takes on this enormous role in these challenging times. Please keep Pope Leo and Our Holy Mother Church in your prayers always.
The year 2024 was an ‘interesting” year for Dan and I. There were some serious health challenges, the passing of Dan’s Mom, as well as the passing of a dear friend and multiple pets. We hope and pray 2025 brings no such sorrows. That being said, please keep David Roy, our friend and Maine Needs Fatima volunteer and servant of Mary in your prayers as he battles his own health challenges.

By now, most of the people who will view our website and read this letter are quite familiar with the six apparitions of the Blessed Mother in Fatima, Portugal in 1917. However, you may not be quite as familiar with other messages Our Lady conveyed to Lucia as either part of, or subsequent to the 1917 apparitions. In addition to the Communion of Reparations of the Five First Saturday’s, which I hope you all fulfill, did you know about the connection of the Fatima apparitions with the Brown Scapular?
In 1251 St. Simon Stock was visited by the Blessed Mother who said “Receive most beloved son the scapular of thy order, a sign of my confraternity, a privilege both to thee and to all Carmelites, in which he that dieth shall not suffer eternal fire.” The scapular became the habit of the Carmelites. Later this privilege was expanded to all those who are invested into the Confraternity and reverently wear the brown scapular. (Please speak with your priest who has the power to invest you into the Confraternity of the Brown Scapular.)
In 1950, Sr. Lucia said “the rosary and the scapular are inseparable. You cannot have one without the other.” In the spoken messages from Our Lady at Fatima, she emphasized the praying of the rosary. However, on October 13, 1917 as the sun was plunging to earth, Sr Lucia saw 3 tableaus. One was Our Lady handing her a brown scapular, saying with her gesture to take it. Sr. Lucia included the Brown Scapular as a devotion necessary to bring about the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart to the Bishop of Fatima.
We can remember the role each lay Catholic must willingly accept to assist in the realization of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary’s:
C Consecration to Our Lady
R Rosary Every Day
O Offering up our sufferings and daily duties
S Scapular – be invested and wear it daily
S Saturdays - First 5 Saturday Devotion
As part of our mission, we always bring blessed scapulars to our Rosary Rallies. Please feel free to take advantage of this offered sacramental and encourage others to do the same.
I would be remiss if I did not thank America Needs Fatima for allowing us to remain the stewards of such a beautiful statue. Although we realize it is a Statue, many people have commented about a special feeling they get in its presence. We are truly honored to play some small role in spreading devotion to Our Blessed Mother through this ministry.

If you're close to Gorham Maine, we'll be having a rosary rally every month in celebration of each apparition of Our Lady.
At our first Rally on May 13th 2017, over 100+ participants came from all over the state.
Not Catholic? Never prayed the rosary? No problem. We'll have rosaries, and lots of information for anyone interested. We even plan to stream the event live for those who can't attend in person.
